About this app

Vaultwarden is a lightweight, unofficial reimplementation of the Bitwarden server, written in Rust. It works with the official Bitwarden client apps, browser extensions and CLI, so the same password manager, secure vault and two-factor authentication run on your own server instead of Bitwarden's cloud. It also supports unlimited user accounts, organisations for sharing vaults, and a REST API for automation. People who choose Vaultwarden point to two consistent things: it runs as a single container backed by SQLite, with a small enough footprint to fit on modest hardware like a Raspberry Pi. Every feature also works without a subscription. Two-factor code storage, organisation sharing and emergency access, capabilities that sit behind a paid tier on many hosted password managers, are simply there by default. Every feature Vaultwarden ships, including unlimited user accounts and the REST API, is available self-hosted at no cost, with nothing gated behind a paid plan.
