About this app

Presenton is a self-hosted presentation generator that turns a text prompt into a full slide deck. It works with local LLMs through Ollama as well as hosted providers like OpenAI and Gemini. It exports finished decks to PowerPoint and PDF. The backend, frontend, and model integrations all ship in a single container, with no external database to set up. People who choose a self-hosted generator over a subscription-based one consistently point to keeping the AI model on their own infrastructure, so a deck built from confidential material never touches a third party's server. That is the recurring theme across independent reviews of Presenton. The other practical difference is cost: Presenton uses a bring-your-own-key model, billing only the API calls actually made rather than a fixed monthly seat. Every feature, including AI slide generation, local LLM support, unlimited users, and export, is available self-hosted at no cost.
