Miniflux is a self-hosted RSS and Atom feed reader built around a minimalist, keyboard-driven interface. It brings feeds from multiple sources into one place, lets you bookmark articles to read later, and exposes a REST API alongside Fever and Google Reader API compatibility for third-party apps. People who choose Miniflux point to two consistent reasons. It strips tracking pixels and UTM parameters from articles and proxies images through its own server, so reading habits stay off a vendor's servers rather than being logged and analysed elsewhere. The interface is also deliberately spare: no algorithmic feed, no social sharing buttons, no recommendations competing for attention, just the feeds someone subscribed to. Every feature, including the REST API, webhooks, and multi-user access, is available self-hosted at no cost.
