About this app
Mealie is a self-hosted recipe manager and meal planner with a RestAPI backend and a reactive Vue frontend. It imports recipes automatically from any URL, uses machine learning to parse ingredients for recipe scaling and shopping list consolidation, and supports multiple users organised into household groups for family sharing. People who choose Mealie point to two consistent things. One is no subscription fee, since most commercial recipe apps charge a recurring payment for full functionality. The other is a REST API detailed enough to hook into other tools, such as home automation systems, without depending on a vendor's own integrations. Every feature, including automatic recipe import and shopping list consolidation, is available self-hosted at no cost, with no paid tier and nothing gated behind one.
