About this app

KitchenOwl is a grocery list, recipe manager, and meal planner built for households to run together. You can import recipes from the web or write your own, generate a shopping list straight from what you're cooking, plan meals for the week, and track shared expenses between everyone in the household. Native apps cover Android, iOS, web, and desktop, with partial offline support. People who choose KitchenOwl often say the shopping list is what won them over: categories follow the order you actually walk through a store. Meal plans also sync straight into the list rather than sitting in a separate tab. That combination, plus recipe imports and expense tracking in the same app, covers ground that most grocery-list or recipe tools split across separate products. Every feature is available self-hosted at no cost, with nothing gated behind a paid tier.
