About this app

Grafana is a data visualisation and monitoring platform for building dashboards across your infrastructure, applications, and business metrics. It connects to a wide range of data sources, aggregates logs through Loki and traces through Tempo, and ships with alerting and a REST API for automation. People who choose to self-host Grafana consistently point to pulling data from many disparate sources into one dashboard, business metrics from a SQL database next to infrastructure metrics from Prometheus, rather than being tied to one vendor's data model. That flexibility is the most commonly cited reason teams move off a paid SaaS monitoring tool. So is avoiding the per-host and per-metric pricing that makes hosted observability platforms expensive to scale. Several features are gated behind the Enterprise tier: SAML single sign-on, fine-grained role-based access control, audit logging, custom branding, additional data source plugins for tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, and ServiceNow, and scheduled PDF/CSV reporting. Core dashboarding, alerting, log and trace visualisation, and the REST API are free.
