Not a single clean license — GitHub's own license detector reports "NOASSERTION" because the root LICENSE file is a compound license. Per that file: most of the codebase (frontend/client, most packages) is MIT via LICENSE-MIT, but packages/backend/server — the Node.js/ NestJS server that is exactly what runs inside this deployment's ghcr.io/toeverything/affine:stable image — and packages/common/native are carved out under a separate "AFFiNE EE License" file. That file's own text says any part of that carved-out code "distributed as part of AFFiNE Community Edition (CE)" (i.e. everything currently published, since AFFiNE Enterprise Edition "is yet to be published" per the repo's README) is actually licensed under MPL 2.0, not MIT — so the self-hosted backend server carries file-level MPL 2.0 copyleft obligations, not permissive MIT terms. Upstream's own README simplifies this to "free for self-host under the MIT license," but that is a marketing simplification, not what the LICENSE file itself states for the deployed server component.
